Metro (the subway) signs in paris are unbelievably beautiful.
I cant wait to see and sketch them all.

March 31st/ Parents Night Out
If you havent already signed up we are asking (pleading) with all of our amazing art clubbers to sign up for Paris by the 31st. This will give us a better understanding of exactly who is coming with us, and how much we need to fundraise.
Speaking of Fundraising!
April 4th will be our first Parents Night Out, from 6-10pm.
We will be entertaining students from AISD( K-5th grade)- making crafts, eating pizza, and having a great time. Price is $25 per student, contact me if you would like more information.

Must Watch: Amelie
Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain or as its known here in the U.S Amelie is my favorite French film. In fact I loved it so much that I named my daughter after the fabulous lead character, Amelie.
The movie is in French with english subtitles, released in 2001 and it is available everywhere.
Parents be cautioned- there is a an amount of sexual content and that is why it is rated R.
I would base viewing this on your childs maturity level and you might want to watch it first.
But it is a magical film- and it will leave you feeling lovely.

Amélie is a story about a girl named Amélie whose childhood was suppressed by her Father's mistaken concerns of a heart defect. With these concerns Amélie gets hardly any real life contact with other people. This leads Amélie to resort to her own fantastical world and dreams of love and beauty. She later on becomes a young woman and moves to the central part of Paris as a waitress. After finding a lost treasure belonging to the former occupant of her apartment, she decides to return it to him. After seeing his reaction and his new found perspective - she decides to devote her life to the people around her. Such as, her father who is obsessed with his garden-gnome, a failed writer, a hypochondriac, a man who stalks his ex girlfriends, the "ghost", a suppressed young soul, the love of her life and a man whose bones are as brittle as glass. But after consuming herself with these escapades - she finds out that she is disregarding her own life and damaging her quest for love. Amélie then discovers she must become more aggressive and take a hold of her life and capture the beauty of love she has always dreamed of.
I could type for hours at just how beautiful this film is- shot mostly in the Monmartre area of Paris, the colors and locations are amazing. See it please!
